February 2021 COVID-19 Updates for Library Services
The library’s mission is to provide information and literacy services to everyone in our community, including those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19. Although the newest state guidelines have relaxed the restrictions that were established in November 2020, the most recent proclamation encourages Iowans and organizations to still “take reasonable public health measures consistent with guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health”.
Therefore, the DeWitt Community Library will still request that visitors aged five years and older wear face coverings when entering the library and maintain social distancing practices with those who do not live in their immediate household. We will also continue to provide Express Services, which asks that visitors limit their time in the library to no more than 30 minutes to help limit occupancy. Curbside services and home delivery will continue for the foreseeable future.
Our goal is to create a welcoming and safe environment for all, so we very much appreciate your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions, concerns, etc. please feel free to reach out to Library Director Jillian Aschliman at 563-659-5523 or email at email@example.com
